Some tips to help you find the hat of your dreams

Since July 1, 2024, the mutual insurance company has reimbursed €120 for the purchase of a hat. The non-profit organization Caring Hat Fund was a pioneer in getting all the necessary regulatory texts amended to allow for this reimbursement.

The mutual insurance company reimburses a maximum of three hats, which cannot be combined with the reimbursement for a wig.
To obtain this reimbursement, simply submit a certificate from your doctor and the receipt from Caring Hat to the mutual insurance company.

Some mutual insurance companies offer additional reimbursement through their supplementary insurance plans. Certain mutual insurance companies with critical illness insurance and some private insurance companies reimburse the entire amount that remains at your expense.

Finally, in cases of financial hardship, the non-profit organization Caring Hat Fund may cover part or all of the cost of the hat.
