The Caring Hat Fund non-profit organization was created to help people suffering from alopecia (hair loss) by offering them much more than just a hat...

The story of the Caring Hat

It all began when Fabienne Delvigne was approached by patients suffering from hair loss due to cancer who said to her:
Make me something beautiful… something other than a hat or a wig.

Deeply moved, Fabienne Delvigne created a hat specially designed to meet these patients’ needs — soft, elegant, and comforting.

During the pandemic, this heartfelt project was revived: the Caring Hat. Supported by doctors and patients, Fabienne Delvigne fought to have the hat recognized as a true alternative to wigs and scarves. Surrounded by a dedicated team, she went on to create the non-profit organization Caring Hat Fund.

Why choose a Caring Hat when experiencing alopecia?

I looked at myself in the mirror and immediately found myself beautiful. Feeling beautiful means regaining my pride, my confidence, and my self-esteem — like extra vitamins against the illness.

When you feel confident, you feel good. The body is re-energized. You dare to go out again. And when you go out, you regain positive energy and reconnect with life.

Wearing a Caring Hat gave me back a beautiful silhouette — a feminine shape that was so precious to me — a sense of well-being and a healing effect, both for myself and for my family.

As a patient, you follow the treatment — you have no choice. But wearing the hat or the cap gives us the freedom to go through our healing journey with dignity and femininity — that’s a personal choice.”
